Agreed...Even a smile silhouette in the "bat cape" would have gone a long way.gigme wrote:
I hope he eventually completes the series... wish there was a slight touch of Joker included.
Love Jock and have a number of his Batman pieces (comics, prints, letterpress etc). This feels a bit like Jock on autopilot though. Maybe its just because he does so much Batman work that it's impact has been lessened or maybe its because it's a piece of art for one thing soundtrack cover being worked into another format (print/poster). The title font is awful too. Huge Jock/Batman fan and its a great image and artwork but as a print this is not for me.
I wish it had the full credits on it, as it is now it just feels like a sketch.
The context is that it was art meant for the TDK trilogy box set. I'm a fan of the bat motif, but I admit Jock's TDKR was one of my first prints in this hobby and I have a special fondness for it. The title though could be better incorporated, or at the very least could've just been in the top-center and separated from interrupting the design.

Valid point... I guess I should open up my DVD box set and see what's actually in there haha.jkw3000 wrote:The context is that it was art meant for the TDK trilogy box set. Jock (if you're reading) - title blocks and a nod to greatest comic book villain of all-time would make this thing pop! Maybe a little extension of The Black Mirror cover in the cape somewhere.

Since so many years have passed since the trilogy came out. I wish jock would have made it an art print instead.

Someone please correct me If Im wrong but I believe this poster art is actually "un-used art" he had done for the dvd/blu-ray sets but the studio chose not use it.gigme wrote:
