one side cut perfect and the other 3 deckled edges?63schoeffling wrote:Why don't you want to cut it if it's just white border?jmagee87 wrote:IMO it's the best film print this year. Trust me, I have seen plenty of pics of the finished product. Personally I have zero issues with it. Plenty of ways to display it or trim it down.tranito wrote:Oof. Was having the image centered in the middle of the paper an option that was voted as well? Not sure if you've seen this pic.. 301816318084Kramerica wrote:It was discussed. A vote was cast and most preferred to keep the natural border with a deckled edge as those who didn't like it could always have it trimmed. While I haven't seen it in person, all of the pictures I have seen don't look bad at all.tranito wrote:So when he said I'm gonna go with a fat ass disproportionned white border, everyone was like : yeah, totally fine, no worries!

Guess you will just have to buy one and find out.

Tell me something I can't learn buying one then.. Did you really vote for that border to be kept that way, or are you just ''cool with it'' now that you have to ''live with it''. Seems like a touchy subject that was brought up this morning!

paper is 26"x20" and image area is 21.5" x 15.5"tranito wrote:Pics are pics. Whatever. And the dimensions of the border all around are..??
I think you care more about it than anyone else here. I wanted the paper to be kept as is. I prefer a border present to show the depth of the intaglio printing and to preserve the texture of the edge. The options were to trim or not to trim and my desire was to keep it like it was. If I, or anyone else is unhappy with the way it looks upon receipt, it can always be trimmed down or the border matted to the desire of the owner. It kept the most options available to all the owners. There was no drama associated with it as far as I know.tranito wrote:Tell me something I can't learn buying one then.. I do find it interesting to hear about the commission process and the decisions that were made. Do I care about this print in particular? Not really. Do I care about it more than someone who was involved in the commission and who wished his border did not end up looking like that? Of course not. Still it's interesting. Curious of the % that wanted it ''trimmed'' vs. ''left as is''. I'm a bit surprised ''as is'' won to be honest.
