Could say that Shep feels really strongly about this and wants to beat the issue into people. Constant attack and exposure. IMO, it's lacking. The collage background could be more pronounced and derrick looks a little wonky.

Sounds like Shep is taking issue with tax breaks and subsidies, and I definitely agree with him on that side of it. The industry may be at a low right now, but that's doesn't mean they aren't doing well every year because of subsidies and the lack of taxes they pay. It's definitely an issue.

As someone who lives in DC and agrees with the message, I can dig it.
Will be a nice addition to my various DC posters.

I would really prefer to see Shepard Fairey taking on topics that are more timely and relevant. Sorry, the oil stuff has been beat to death. Gas/petrol is under $2 a gallon. The world is not running out of oil, contrary to what Peak Oil theorists were saying. Electric cars and alternative energy options are doing very well as well.
There's a lot to be excited about in that area, some prints in that topic would be welcome. I know he has done a few things in that area.

Speaking of current events, there's an ugly war going on Syria and people are dying and fleeing the region. Shepard Fairey supported the Arab Spring and contributed some interesting pro-democracy pieces. Since much of that has unfortunately not gone to plan and the power vacuum had been filled with fanatics, Fairey has had nothing to say publicly on this subject. A missed opportunity to stand up for Democracy and modernization. Maybe he's afraid.
