Everybody is entitled to their opinion and their own sense of taste. If you don't like it, you don't need to buy it. I am a little disturbed at how Mickey Mouse is portrayed in this print. Is nothing sacred anymore?? What's next, Jesus on the cross wearing an ipod??
you're a little late to the show too i see.

That 'Set' sale should be struck. The buyer is deliberately sabotaging sales associated with the Ghetto.

"Not that he is the next JM Basquiat or anything close, but there is def a large influence on Bast's work. "

He's his own person but certainly has Basquiat like qualities.
Did you ever see a Bast canvas?
The Mickey canvas lights up a room and lazy would be the very last adverb I'd ever use to describe it.

Some here may not like to hear it but from someone who is an "old guy" at 56 like myself, Bast is one artist in this scene that I expect will soon be at the Banksy level especially here in the US where Bansky is so far a dud in our auction houses and I think Bast will eventually surpass and sustain while Banksy fades. Why do I say that?

Because Bast is way more "fine art" than Bansky who's more a clever illustrator with even more clever marketing. That may work for awhile but often wears thin real fast. On the other hand, Bast without any fan forum support or organized public relations like so many of the other artists have just continues to grow and grow on the merit of his work. Like it or not Bast has something that more and more people are liking.

The great part of art is we're all allowed to have and express our opinions and that's mine.

I just read the comments on this piece and I feel like Piemel deserves a response from someone who likes the print. To all the people freaking out about that, chill out, fostering actual conversation as to the reason why a print is good or not is better than 90% of the fudge I read on here.

I like the print, I agree mickey mouse might be a tired image, but I really enjoy his take. When buying an art print that stands alone I want it to say something, maybe some sort of criticism like most banksy pieces or the same criticism that is shown here. A bit more subtly, I saw someone sum up the meaning of this print very well a few posts down. Bast has a unique style, that many enjoy. The crazy prices are due to street artists exploding right now
