I dunno if the "Manufacturer" part should be listed as POW, as they only distributed the pieces...BAST himself printed and hand-finished them himself in London.

And sorry to be nitpicky, but these may have been sold at Santa's Ghetto, but they were not printed and used to promote Santa's Ghetto, so not sure SG should be listed as the event.

As for the Mickey themselves, they're in my top 2 favorite releases by POW this year. Really awesome that they are all hand-embellished and different.

my god... this is such a load of crap

mickey drymounting mouse ... REALLY?

to use this icon in 2007 is lazy ... they might as well come up with a new George Bush print.

how the drymount anyone can consider this as 'good' is beyond me.... its probabaly more a question of jumping on the hype bandwagons in order to get some money in the bank

bloody hell... mickey mouse

^BAST is from Brooklyn. Last time I checked, this is in the U.S. Correct me if you learned something different in Geography.

there is so much beauty in the dirtiness/sloppiness of it. I think lazy is the last word that comes to mind when I see Bast's work. He is a f'ing legend in the scene. The best part of art is viewer interpetation, making someone feel something, whether thats happy/sad/sick whatever. I hate being spoon fed meanings in art. Its somewhat condesending in a way. Id much rather have it open to my own interpratation.

Not that he is the next JM Basquiat or anything close, but there is def a large influence on Bast's work. Maybe his work is lazy fudge also?

is it not ok that i interperet this piece as lazy and sloppy? or should i just like it because he is a legend?

If you don't like it, then move on. It's your opinion that you're entitled too.

Some people like it. Should they not because you think it's lazy?
