The piece I most wanted at MondoCon, glad to have been able to get it. Great movie by a great artist

I was wondering why Refn's name was on this but I guess this is for the soundtrack vinyl on Invada that Refn is overseeing. Pretty cool.

Not surprised, I just don't see too many people willing to spend the money on framing this thing. I'm probably being a little too critical of this print because I had such high hopes. For me though it's a complete miss. I wouldn't be shocked if this drops down to $80 or less.bryndavies wrote:FS list on this one is exceptionally long. looks like half the run.
I didn't like it at first either, but the colors are growing on me. I'm excited I had a PB, but bummed at the amount for sale. I think I looked at it yesterday and there were literally between 1/6-1/5 of the whole run for sale. That's a good bit for a 300 something run. If you don't like it, don't buy it. I hope these folks have to eat their money.

I loved it, love it, will continue to love it.
I think it's a nice juxtaposition between how insane the film is and how serene the print is. It's a pretty good representation of the film I think. It fools you on the surface with the warm colors but below is something much darker, just hinted at, in the print.
This print imparts to the viewer a discordant, unsettled feeling. It''s beautiful and has many ordered patterns, yet the color palette offends the mind at the same time. It incorporates details from the film while not representing an actual scene from it. The centerpiece is the angel wings, which are soft and pretty and yet represent the dread and horror that fills Oh Dae-su.
This is art, baby. Laurent is challenging you, but it appears many don't care to be challenged.
