Is this just a straight up homage to Damien Hirst's spot paintings, or does it add something new that I'm missing?
Yeah, it is definitely old. Here are the editions, btw:
70 colour screen print on 300 gsm Somerset paper, 100x70 cm edition of 100 @ £195.00.
70 colour screen print on aluminium edition of 6 @ £800.00
20 colour screen print on 300 gsm Somerset paper, 48x58 cm edition of 150 @ £150.00.
20 colour screen print on aluminium edition of 10 @ £500.00.

Just looking at some of the close-ups of this series on GP - it looks like they are hand-finished but that's not mentioned in the description. I guess all the spray effect is part of each screen?
The pieces on aluminum are pretty awesome looking.

Yeah, actually the larger one on aluminum looks a bit bland - I like the smaller one a lot more.
