I just block out commish pieces and pretend they don't exist. Kind of like the ones where there are only 10, or 20 or however many there end up being.
Helps ease the pain.

Wish I would have gone in on this one. One of my favorite movies but bad timing for me $$$$. Great piece!
Good luck on future drops

So far in all the Chris Weston commissions I have been in have been run really well, with a few minor speed bumps but the lead commissioner has done an amazing job. Its easy to collect money but its not so easy to convey art direction from the group to the artist.
I'm happy with the end result and cant wait for it to be printed.
Listen to Bob Marley!

yeah but the commish groups have almost no limits, people are willing to spend much more on pieces because they're able to get exactly what the want. it's probably not as easy for mondo to do that, considering they release licensed.. just a guess.
Commissions are great because we get to have discussions with the artist about the prints before they are finalized. We all work together to make the print the best it can be. Chris was amazing about listening to are opinions and trying to incorporate them as best he could while sticking with his vision. For example at one point Clint's gun hand was way bigger and it looked a bit off. I think Chris was trying for a more forced perspective but after talking with the group he made it more proportional. You would never be able to do anything like that with Mondo

The detail is just incredible! Wonder how long it took him. I agree a wood variant would fit this perfect, kinda like horkeys true grit. If and when they go up they'll go in a blink of an eye.

Definitely my favourite Weston piece so far. His detailed line work works so well with the movie.
