Definitely a favorite of mine and so many other poster and art fans is this "Poster From The Past" entitled the "Peacock Ball". The central image is simply a Peacock with the lettering for the bands spread out amongst the feathers above the head and body and also below in the tail feathers. This is Family Dog poster number #51 in their series and was printed two times. On the reprints, the Dog's logo and dance/concert emblem in the upper corners was changed from dark pink to white which makes it quite easy to spot the second printing.

It was47 years ago on this day back in 1967, that The Quicksilver Messenger Service, The Steve Miller Blues Band and The Daily Flash performed for two nights of dance/concerts at the Avalon Ballroom here in San Francisco. Light show was provided by Ben Van Meter and Roger Hillyard. The poster artwork done by the "Master of Psychedelic Posters & Comix", Victor Moscoso.
