Fast Times at Ridgemont High 13 Dye - Fluorescent

There are enough similarities between the movies to make this a somewhat clever idea. The poster really only works *because* of the Kozik/D&C, in my opinion. I think that it's a mistake to think that Dye's trying to pull a fast one here. Though, given some of his past output, it's also kind of understandable.Lifeisghood wrote:Im gonna catch a ton of fudge im sure but im a huge kozik fan and i love his Dazed & Confused poster but i gotta admit i really am digging Dye's Fast Times poster, those movies are in the same vein to me to i think its kinda cool that he threw a tribute out to kozik with this.
Yep. Obvious homage.oldman wrote:There are enough similarities between the movies to make this a somewhat clever idea. The poster really only works *because* of the Kozik/D&C, in my opinion. I bought the 2001 too. I understand it is a ripoff of the original. I am happy with the variant, love the way the colors change as you move across the room. I did have to pause and think about it when I purchased it. The metallics and split fountain made my decision for me.Kramerica wrote:I have to admit, I am glad to have one of the 2001 prints but it is still just a screen of someone else's work. I would like to get my hands on the variant at some point though.Moonduckie78 wrote:Come on......you can't F*CK with DARTH CHOCOLATE.......that sh*t is awesome.
I liked his 2001 print, too.
A(n) homage IS credited almost by definition. Everybody who cares knows.mtarail wrote:Looks like Dye will make some nice $$ off of this uncredited Kozik "homage".
Than what would your definition of copycat be because I think I would love to know your response to that.fredo wrote:A(n) homage IS credited almost by definition. Everybody who cares knows.mtarail wrote:Looks like Dye will make some nice $$ off of this uncredited Kozik "homage".
