It's the whole ''Ceci n'est pas une pipe'' thing. Of course, it's not a pipe or here actual taggings per se, yet we get it's referencing to it.
Was there an intention to make them aesthetically pleasing to the eye? Probably yeah, but I don't think art should be exactly what it's depicting.

Finally, a real art discussion referencing Magritte's work. There is still hope for EB.

Yes he did....whatson also tagged statues....which makes me surprised with dolk, this print seems like a ripoff of MW. dident think he would release something like that....kinda makes me feel like he's taking a page out of MBW which sucks cuz Dolk is one of my favorites

Should've stopped the tagging scribble after TOY (where it actually works really well). These norwegians are now flogging a dead horse imho.
Easy pass on both.

You know, when you put the actual piece in context with the tsunami and nuclear accident in Japan, it's pretty cool. Sure Dolk and MW have tagged things to death - but I still like it. I think the canvas Angels look a bit better and do wish these looked more like the originals with the neon/less tagging. I also think he has many other pieces I would have preferred to see (Chief, etc). Still, I will likely go for Angels. Don't think Graffiti mover translates as well from canvas to paper.
