Another beautiful print from Mr. Durieux. Seeing this print to me is all the reason why he needs to do a Raiders of the lost ark.

Pure Genius!
Yes...Raiders would be good.
Imagine an epic A Christmas Story from him.

Most of what you read on the internet is not true....signed Abraham Lincoln
I think people wish it would have said Casablanca large across the top instead of Sam Gets Requests.Hippie wrote:I'm a little surprised that I could still get this an hour after it dropped?
Is there something I'm not getting?
I am sure the print will be beautiful in person. I ended up getting the Wood Edition.
Beautiful print, just always feels like there may be a better sentence than "Sam Gets Requests" (probably why they had a mock of "Sam The Pianist")...then again, I'm weird and just find the phonetics of it to be a little off.
Feels like the existing image would work perfectly (including the lack of Bogie) if it read (in quotes) "As Time Goes By," maybe with smaller text saying "Performed by Sam the Pianist" somewhere under it or near the bottom. Still a gig poster and, as a movie poster, would work in capturing a particular scene.
Just a thought. Again...still looks beautiful. Oh Durieux...

It just doesn't need the title or lettering at all. Let the art stand on it's own.
Agreed. Even "Sam Takes Requests" would make more sense for a pseudo gig poster.jkw3000 wrote:Beautiful print, just always feels like there may be a better sentence than "Sam Gets Requests" (probably why they had a mock of "Sam The Pianist")...then again, I'm weird and just find the phonetics of it to be a little off.

This is an understated classic art print; it highlights how the Character Sam and the Music played was an important role in this film. Upon hearing the song, then the view, Rick gets to see a memory, and it is Sam who understands this memory, this Request from Rick’s Old Flame.. It is because Sam Gets Request, and helps make the Moment - as Time Goes By….

First off, I'm a huge Durieux. However, I couldn't get into this one. Is it just me or is this too similar to his Mummy in 2012?
