Buzz Killington. This ain't a Budich don't cha know!xangelx wrote:Passing on this one was a no brainer, while not a gauge as to the talent of the artist (Because he is REALLY talented) judging by the lack of action in this thread and the fact that it is not yet sold out I think it's fair to say that for most people, including myself this print just missed the mark. Love Fargo and love Gabz but this print just doesn't do anything for me. My .02.cgmarshall wrote:That doesn't bother me at all.Cbjornson wrote:I even live in Fargo and didn't buy the print. This print is amazing, buying one is a no-Brainer.
I think the majority of the Mondo community isn't aware of Gabz's work outside the Pacific Rim print. Coen fans will come back for this one.
Let's ruffle some feathers here. Just kidding, but I do think the artwork and composition in the Fargo print is better than his Inception print but of course that's my opinion and to each his own. They're both great pieces and I'd be proud to own both of them.
I purchased the variant and can't wait to see that pearlescent paper and GID.
Rumor has it that he's working on a couple or three commissions and it will be quite interesting to see how the artwork turns out when compared to his recent work. I'd be willing to bet that the subject matter for those commissions is going to be popular around these parts as well.

ISO: Stout - The Thing
Considering his Predator "Thermal" variant is the absolute pinnacle print of Arnie's best cheese-fest, I'm going to be very upset if I see any more classic action movies in the private commissions. I'd cry myself into oblivion if Gabz creates a Die Hard or Matrix anywhere near the level of that Predator piece. I'm actually scared now, lol.kyler4444 wrote: ..I'd be willing to bet that the subject matter for those commissions is going to be popular around these parts as well.
Well, I just got my regular version of this print in today. I have to say, it looks a lot nicer in person than in the pictures. I wasn't planning on actually giving this thing wall space, but I think I might now that I have seen it up close. I will try to post some pictures soon.
For those who are unfamiliar with Odd City, they ship their prints flat which is pretty cool. The packaging was great, and they mounted the print under about 3 layers of cardboard, covered in tissue paper. The print also came with a nice certificate of authenticity. I am pretty surprised that there are still some remaining for sale on their site. I originally regretting getting the regular instead of the variant, but after opening it up, I am more than happy with my purchase.

No More Room In Hell...
Got the variant in today, the paper choice is perfect. Reminds me of show that has frozen on top to make it shimmer.
