Only girls do that.
Right, right! Can't let "them" win!

And yes, the regular does look great. Wish they would've kept his suit blue in the metal though. Seems to me that the metal alone would make it different enough to keep the colors the same. Do they usually switch around colors when printing on metal? And are the regulars printed on black paper or white?

This made me laugh out loud. Seriously. You're new around here, eh?
Yea. Lurker until my collection got a bit more and wanted to "enter da discussion." Although paying attention to the dialogue I may go back to lurker status.

This is one of the definitive Superman poses/covers of all time as it was the cover of Superman 1. Ross homaged that, and while Ansin may have borrowed the pose, it's not a direct knock as he changes background, adds tons of characters etc and does it in his style. This is consistent with his Thor and Iron Man which were certainly not direct lifts, and complements them well.

Even the knock off Superman, the Supreme (written extremely well by Alan Moore) had a cover similar to this:

There are countless other homages in Superman and other comics to this particular pose.

In addition, Tyler Stout, my favorite artist, homaged the Enter the Dragon for his Kill Bill and no one seemed up in arms about it. I just don't want people to rush to judgment on this.

Good question.

Not sure how comparable, but for Moss' Dark Knight Rises there were 9,350 sold.

Anyone think it will be a similar number?

No way. 1/3 of that maximum.

At least the flippers won't be interested in an open edition print!

Flippers gonna flip, what are you going to to do.

In any case, I love this print. Will be trying my luck for the metal variant, we'll see how that goes.

How has a print already been sold on eBay for $150? It's not even on sale for $50 yet!

I wonder if there are people out there who are buying these up knowing that it will blow the 45 day Paypal claim period and try to stick those Con Men selling these with a bunch of prints that they can't do anything with?

It crossed my mind too. That would be awesome if they did (and well thought out I might add).

But I'm sticking with idiots. :P
