Awesome art work. I love the composition and style of Martin Ansin Iron Man 3 poster. Got my regular and variant in the mail today. As to which version I think is better, that is hard to say. My 2 cents:
There is more separation of Iron Man and the background on the regular version. I like the color of the paper on the variant. On the variant is easier to see that metallic ink was used. The metallic ink on the faces are pretty close as too which one is better, I'd give a tiny edge to the regular version. The blue on the variant looks nicer. I find myself looking at the variant more when held side by side. The regular it is very easy to see all the detail in the red areas where the variant I keep looking at it because of the split foundation. You can't go wrong with either version IMO.

Yeah, the pics and comments are really helpful, especially since the differences aren't nearly that obvious.
Would've loved to get the variant as well for the split fountain but the bleed from it is a little distracting for me. Still, to you:

I had both, and parted with the variant. Kept my reg AP because I like the blue background more.
The paper is really strange, usually when i frame something that size with just spacers, it works perfectly....this one ended up all wavy against the spacers. Hopefully my framer figures it out, luckily he doesnt charge until the job is done

I think spacers work better for smaller prints. These big guys flatten out better with a mat on them.Gundam wrote:The paper is really strange, usually when i frame something that size with just spacers, it works perfectly....this one ended up all wavy against the spacers.
