I like it.

Brilliant! This will look amazing in person!! Similar pose to Thor, wonder if Ansin will do an Avengers series similar to UM?

I sure hope we get some pics before the drop. I suspect cool metallics for the variant, but I like the JPEG of the regular more. Setting me up for future regret. :?

Ansin's already confirmed that both have metallic inks. First worry of mine as well. Looks like the biggest difference may indeed just be a color thing, possibly based on the paper stock.

Didn't see that. That makes the decision is easy. Reg it is.

No worries, didn't see it either early on but somebody pointed to Ansin's twitter, where somebody asked "metallic inks on both" and he said yes. Confirmed further on his website.

I'd still want to see the prints first, feels like the variant has to look sharper than the jpeg implies. Even then though, the warmer tones of the reg and the more tan paper stock looks like it just works better with the red/gold theme. Here's hoping for a blog preview Thursday.

Really strong composition, you can never go wrong with Ansin. Still torn on which one to go for, kinda leaning towards the variant. Also worried the reg might be printed on that super thin cream paper.

I'm glad the only real difference is a color choice, though interestingly the color difference seems more like one of color temperature than a drastic color swap. I've spent a good chunk of today trying to pick out the differences, if only because the effects of color temp is one of my favorite things about filming/editing/photography.

I'm not quite sure if the variant is printed on a straighter, true white stock or if it's a little bluer. The blues pop more and the shadows look better (less like red saturation) but the warmer regular version just works better with the red/gold of the Iron Man armor. Plus the details in the red areas of the armor look better in the reg.

This is all moot if they actually have pics of the prints. Would love to see, also would love to hear what Ansin's ideas were for the color choices.

I think this thing is beautiful--I want it on the wall in between Thor and Brazil.

I'll be on the road when this drops Friday, with both hands on the wheel but mentally sending positive PB vibes out into the atmosphere.

As usual, Ansin made a beauty of a print, and confirms my feeling that he is the best artist Mondo has. Now if only he used some thicker paper...

Coming from a huge Stout fan, this is the best Iron Man print to date.
