I came in to see if anyone posted a depiction of an actual Aepyornis yet, and they had...so nevermind that.

But a mod probably wants to get rid of the goatse on page 8. No hotlinking! :)

I saw this the other day and wondered why so many people would sell it for a loss rather than just keep it.

Good looking poster in person.

Yeah the difference in price for the variants isn't just because they're really limited. The orange is ugly as hell.

yep,

I unloaded mine at face value. the paper isnt just orange, its slightly brownish orange. with the blues and whites, it was hideous. i would definetly take one of these on black or white. just dont want to spend $500.

when i purchased it i was iffy cause of the color, was hoping it would be different in person, i was wrong, it was uglier in person.

I thought the color combo looked great. If anything, the only problem is the orange paper makes it hard to make out some of the detail in the red printing. But I'm not gonna argue that bold paper + lots of negative space + "what's an Aepyornis" isn't gonna turn off a lot of people.

Mine's hanging in my kitchen.

Anybody know the recent sale price for the black Aepyornis on the bay last week? I didn't see it recorded in the sales history.
