:? Can someone help me understand what the big deal is with Banksy prints?
I mean, I get the point, the sometimes subtle humor and they ARE insightful and thought provoking.
But how in the hell can a recent print run (4 years ago) of 750 result in folks throwing $2,000 - $3,000 at a print?
Am I missing something?

$2-3k is often on the low end of that spectrum.

Yep, realized that too. Which makes it even more puzzling. Just happened to pick this one as an example.
Wayne Coyne prints with low runs of 50-100 struggle to break $1000, yet newer, less complex prints with run of 750 blow past $3,000 with no problem.
Apparantly, I am indeed missing something.

No fudge sherlock. It's just that it hasn't been discussed here in the comments section.

Edit: Edited so the doorknob underneath can understand.
