There are many types of "acid free tape". Many framers use the cheapest form(s) possible, and residue will likely be left when removed (or worse paper loss if not removed properly).

I've used large lineco mylar corners for all of my 24x36 prints and they are great if you are using a mat. I guess tape would be easier, but the corners work well enough I've never really been tempted. No adhesive touching the print with these.

The matting on the bottom of the print is a lot wider than at the top. Other than that, it's nice.
I believe that's called "bottom weighting"

Correct. This is why people should insist on using the smallest/thinest/most expensive kind. As I mentioned before, the best one is literally like a sticky tissue paper.

I always do bottom weighing very subtly so you can't tell right away. It's still an excellent frame-up, though.
