I don't understand the appeal of this guy's work. I mean, as a male I do, but as an art enthusiast I don't. It's a random naked girl in an a classic nudie mag pose, but since the image is pink and yellow, it's supposed to be art rather than pornography? That's about as gimmicky and cheap as it gets, in my opinion.

So looks like you take the image, drop it in photoshop, use the posterize effect with 2 colors and voila! then find someone to screen print it for you...guess it's somewhat better than people just vectorizing and creating prints on giclee to try and mimic the work of Stout or someone

Yeah, I just assumed aelhra was male for obvious reasons.bkboy77 wrote:FIXEDDrukqs wrote:I don't understand the appeal of this gal's work. I mean, as a male I do, but as an art enthusiast I don't. Nobody will buy this image for its artistic qualities.dsanacore wrote:Well a lot of people view the human body as a form of art... so yeah. I'm not a fan of aelhra, but I can still understand somebody else's appeal.
I think it's that high-contrast love-button cover.mattlew69 wrote:Where is the shark fin????
I just hate it when I see people say something isn't art because they don't understand it or can't relate to it.
There are artists out there who I think are complete hacks, have no talent and don't even create their own work, but I still regard what they put out as "art"
Who are any of us to say, "No one will ever buy this for it's artistic qualities."
I would never buy a Geddes astro print for its artistic qualities, but that doesn't mean other people wont.
And I say all of this without even liking aelhra or this print.
