oh, i bought the cheapo 8 x 8 square shadowbox frame at target, cut to the edge of the image, floated that bad boy with some hinges and boom goes the dynamite. I thought it was weird they way some of the images were off center too, so trimming up the border was a no brianer for me

What about buying a larger frame? After matting, a typical 16 x 20 frame would allow an image size of 11 x 14. If cut right, you could fit two of the 8 x 5 portfolio cards on it, one on top of the other. That's how I thought of matting APV and Acedia, it's not perfect and formfitting, but it'd do the job.alittle wrote:I'm not worried about preservation...Not looking for a perfect fit, but nothing is close.
Doesn't matter now...gave them away.

Anyone framed one of these yet? I'm close to getting one for framing purposes but would really like to see something that size framed (ideally one on top of the other like Hutwe mentioned.

Thanks, your framing convinced me to order both portfolios (wanna do Acedia and APV side by side). I love Geddes work so it'll be nice to be able to appreciate it on my walls even if I can't afford the real thing.ianpotter wrote:Custom frame roughly 700mm x 280mm (28" x 11" for those still living in the dark ages)strikeanywhere wrote:thanks...I love the way those cosmonauts look vertically. what size frame is that?
Hmmm....since there's at least two cosmonaut prints of the three background colors I want to have two sets of 3 framed like you did and hanging next to each other but White Cosmonaut is a little shorter image size then the others. Gotta decide if I want to just have it matted like the others and live with the white border showing at the bottom....or have the matting cover the border out but then that matting will be different sized from the rest and would look a little weird.....Or I could have the framer cover a little bit of the image from the top and bottom of the other five so that the matting on all 6 would be the same image size.
Decisions, decisions.
