I wonder if the letterpresses hurt the prices on the post 2000 first editions. I think the offsets have hurt Pow(er) and Imperial Glory.

Surely, some will "settle" for the letterpress, but troo fans/collectors will still want the 18" x 24" version. Perhaps the price appreciation will slow down a little - hard to tell.

Imperial Glory and POW(ER) still sell for $400-$500 and the quality is much better than the lithos, of course.

I honestly prefer the Mujer Fatal leterpress over the screen screen print. I wouldn't call it settling.

^ This. All. Day.

Reason being, I can get more creative with framing (adding mats) to lp, while still keeping the overall size smaller. I can fit 6 lp on the same wall that I'd only have room for 2 18 x 24's. I recently saw someone post a photo of lp's framed/hung horizontally in a row (can't remember who posted), but I love how they looked.

I was thrilled to see Shep release lp's of the ladies. Can't wait to see more, in the future.

That's why I phrased it as "settling" because I am sure there are many who have wanted the print but not at the current market price. With the release of this LP, that void is somewhat filled (for some), as you still get the image.

All comes down to personal preference, of course. I'll always want the 1st runs over the LPs because I'm snooty that way. :D

Once I see the letterpress I can decide if I still need to track down the silkscreen again. Selling that was my top 3 regretted sales, but had to help get the wife through grad school. I guess if you look at roi on that it's pretty good, but still haven't replaced it. Was psyched it got the lp treatment and think I will be good with it

And this is why I wondered if the lp would soften the pricing for the silkscreen. The more people that were looking for the silkscreen but are now satisfied with the lp, the greater the impact on the price so the silkscreen. It doesn't mean the price will drop, maybe just not rise much anymore.
