No. Nor me. If this wasn't listed as Lord of the Rings I wouldn't have a clue this was anything to do with that franchise. It's pretty, but instantly forgettable.

The White Tree of Gondor is instantly recognizable to any fan of the series. Other than that, based on the jpeg it's pretty hard to discern what is what but I assume that the main character is Galadriel. Looks like an owl above her and I can't think of any owl from the series. But this is CLEARLY a print that you can't really judge until you have it in front of you - looks like endless detail to pore over - can't wait.

I believe it's actually Arwen, and some higher res jpegs were posted in the mondo thread. Vania's prints to me seem pretty great at a distance where you cant distinguish the detail, but when you actually get a chance to pour over it, it's a bit crowded and lacks definition/the references one might expect. At least that's what I found from his GoT print. It looks fantastic as a whole piece, but it seemed full of irrelevant, yet still goodlooking, objects(and I consider myself a pretty sizeable GoT nerd) that dont seem to reference the show/books(or at least as much as Id like).

I, personally, preferred the straightforwardness of his 13 Assassins

I think that's why it went over my head. I'm very much 'take it or leave it' when it comes to all things LOTR.

Then it's a great idea for you to comment negatively on art related to LOTR.

Wish there was some more shots of this. I'd really like to see some of the detail be for I pull the trigger.

It's definitely Arwen. Rob Jones jumped in the Mondo thread and said it was depicting the events to come if she chose to stay in Middle Earth and not leave with the rest of the elves... or something like that. Not super LOTR knowledgable. :P
