I asked if it was a litho or a serigraph and she said it was a regular poster. So we will see when it ships on the 30th.

She also mentioned that very few sold at actual Reds games.

Super stoked on this one! :D
We are so jaded from our hot release online sales that it's easy to forget that pre-internet that would be fast - if an order takes 5 minutes, that is two full time staffers working full-time selling posters non-stop.

Fluff,

I bought 1 and asked how much shipping was! She said $10. I asked if I bought another how much shipping was, "she said, $10!"

There you go!

Out of curiousity, I emailed the Cincinnati Art Museum, looky 2 replies:

So, in summary, it's still a mystery...

It's a litho, it's the 4 panel. That has been confirmed several times.
out and perfect.

As of 1pm EST 7/29, the regular edition of this 2008 edition is still available, but the chick I talked to at the Art Museum when I ordered said there aren't many remaining.
I chose to pick mine up in person at the museum rather than pay the $10 + $10 shipping for two of them and then risk the tube getting crushed. Plus, it's a great excuse to hit the museum (not like I need one, but an additional reason to go never hurts.)

For those of you mail ordering....She said their shipping tubes were thick, but didn't elaborate. But thickness is a subjective thing.

I took the opportunity to ask her if any person ordering has asked if these are signed by Andy Warhol.....and what do you know....she said three different people have asked that question, so far. Freakin' idiots!!!

Years ago, this 4-panel image was released on a small promo card (about 6x9 or so). I had Pete autograph it for me about 6 years ago. I'll have to dig it out of the Baseball-stuff box. While I'm in there, I'll get out my Danny Graves ball and let a dog chew on it.

This is the "torn" variant. Highly flippable too!

I wouldn't be suprised if the print sells out at the opening.

So, would this be a tax deductible donation?
All proceeds benefit the Cincinnati Reds Community Fund and the Cincinnati Art Museum.

I would bet that the $50 edition is sold out BEFORE tonight's event.
If not, you can be sure it'll be done by the end of the event.

I think some part of it is tax deductable. But not all of it.

It's likely that the Cincy high-brow will show up and will snatch up all the framed ones. I love any excuse to use the word "snatch."

I bought two of these in "speculation" that, when sold out, the second one will sell for more than $50 and offset (no pun intended) the expense on the one I'm keeping.

Speculation = Flip
Speculator is the new Flipper

Speculation is part of flipping. They are synonymous.

Pete doesn't sign anything for free, but I bet he'll do it for a lot cheaper than the $500 they're asking for numbers 1-114.
