Re: Is a two month turn-around the norm on custom framing?
Thanks guy for the quick replies. I am going to stop by this week and see if he has made any progress at all towards my order. If he tells me he still hasn't touched it due to slow business, then I am going to just take it somewhere else. The last time I talked to him (last week) I told him I would ...

Is a two month turn-around the norm on custom framing?
I have been using a local framer who typically takes about two months the get a custom frame job done. I always assumed it was the norm since I had nothing else to compare it too. My only experience with custom framing has been with them. So anytime I would take a poster in to get framed, I just fig...

Re: What to do when unhappy w/ a custom frame job?
good points man ^ I took the picture of the print down. I know the other ones are still up. I just felt bad because I didn't want it to appear like I was bashing the guy's work. Overall, I really enjoy what type of work he does, and I respect what he tried to do on this one. I just figured I would t...

Re: What to do when unhappy w/ a custom frame job?
yeah, I am actually bringing in another print to be done as well. Like I said, I love the guys work so I am going to continue to have him do my custom jobs. So when I go in tomorrow, I will at least feel better bringing in another poster to get done. I never said the guy made any mistakes. I just do...

Re: What to do when unhappy w/ a custom frame job?
Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback and advice. I am going to go ahead and talk to him about it tomorrow. Hopefully everything works out just fine. He is really professional, so I am pretty certain he will be ok with getting it right.

What to do when unhappy w/ a custom frame job?
hey guys, I have been going to the same local guy for a few years now. I appreciate his work so much that I refuse to go any place else when it comes to framing my posters. That said, I recently took in a print and was pretty disappointed in the way the top matting came out. My framer tried to get c...

What do you store your print in when U take it to the framer
I know many in here keep their posters in a safe, protective place (flat file, sleeves, portfolio, etc). However, I was wondering how do you protect it when you take it to your local framer? Do you just roll it up since it has to be taking out by the framer once you get there? Or in fact do you keep...
