Re: What book(s) are you reading???

I have been reading one after the other of Tim Dorsey's series of books. I need distraction - going thru a rough time. These are pretty entertaining. Also very wild.
Rad all of Carl Hiassen's books. They are really great.

Re: What do you mostly collect? (Poll content)

Gig posters are my passion. I like collecting certain women gig poster artists. Sudyka has a very special quality. To me she is the Mucha of the 21st Century. Bell's people gig posters are like no other artist. It is too bad she hasn't been making any lately. Kathleen Judge has made some remarkable ...

I wasn't familiar with this artist. Thanks EB. Just went to his site and had to buy 3. Dont give 2 shits about the groups. I always say its the image that counts. In the 1890s, screw Job, but the Mucha lady on the Job poster, ooh la la.

I was waiting for a shipment from France. It was at customs - they probably think there are guns inside, due to the tube shape.
After almost a month it arrived. Just keep praying?? You will probably get it - they are slow!!

Re: Inside Llewyn Davis 14 Kelly

hmmmm. Not Bohemian enough. Greenwich Village in the esrly 60s was a bit more hip than that depiction. But, I didn't love the movie either. Instead of Camaraderie between musicians it was mano y mano. There was camaraderie before Dylan came on the scene. I guess I was hoping for more of a positive m...

I would like to express what I think about pricing. I am new to buying Gig posters. I couldn't understand the pricing being so low for a silkscreen signed and numbered. Yes, the artists deserve more. There should be more shows and exposure. There are so many incredible talents! Chicago is the San Fr...

Re: What is your latest proud print acquisition?

I really am into posters as opposed to prints w/o lettering. Here is a rare poster from the 60s by Peter Gee. Not a household name but an excellent silkscreen artist. I am curious if anyone knows of the possibly first use of silkscreen on mylar?? This artist was doing it in the 1960's.
