Re: World of Whiskey

I like Tullamore Dew, can't wait to try a rum cask finished version. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4743/25638061987_2dedae0c74.jpg Just hit Pa - $30.00 Really looking forward to it. I like "regular" D.E.W. more than "regular" Jameson. Their 10YO Single Malt and 110 proof Phoenix are first-rate.

Re: Welker Studio Updates

Everything I've heard has made me want to experience a concert. I may have to actively seek out that experience. Great to hear - just be aware they sound very different now than they did in 2010, 2003, 1999, 1997 and 1994 for example. And all of those years sound different from each other. I believ...

Re: Welker Studio Updates

I'm 29. You might be a good candidate for mid- to late-90s Phish. Too chaotic for my geriatric ears, and I caught a bunch of 90s Phish. Outside of Lemonwheel Ambient Set, I don't even listen to my own recordings from back then. For my taste, 9/14/11 Essex tickles in all the right places, in exactly...

Re: Welker Studio Updates

most phish fans are just happy they are playing Ugh - this point of view saddens me - would rather sit next to a "Phish sux now" person at a show. If I felt that way I'd see zero Phish shows live and ONLY listen to the older shows I've downloaded from etree. I like today's Phish more than yesterday...

Re: Welker Studio Updates

I will say that all this print hullabaloo has got me to actually listen to Phish. They were not in my wheelhouse, and the jury is still out Their style has constantly morphed, and the music they've been playing for most of the past 9 years has been somewhat more accessible to the general public at ...

Re: World of Whiskey

you used to love the state system I really did, but in the first half of 2017 they retroactively changed a rule specifically to cheat me out of $400 that I was entitled to, based on their posted policies. So in saving that one-time outlay of $400, most of which would have ended up back in their poc...

Re: World of Whiskey

After this recent lottery joke, I really am done buying most of my liquor in PA now. It's so hard to support these clowns.... I can't figure out their logic but basically this is what happens when you let the govt run something they have no idea how to run. Also, Jeff 16 is a hard pass... not sure ...

Re: World of Whiskey

They have the Gold for $118, The 18YO for $153. I got lucky on a few bottles of Gold. Can't recommend the 18YO, really. It's as boring (to me) as it is refined. You may be able to find some 12YO for $60 or less, it's not been gone long. For around $50 in an Irish, try Green Spot or Red Breast 12YO....

Re: World of Whiskey

believe it or not I have never had Jameson of any variety. You owe it to yourself to try to find Gold Reserve and the 12YO, if possible. Two complex and enjoyable sippers. 12YO has been discontinued, sadly. The 18YO is like a cordial, it's so smooth and velvety, but not nearly as interesting as Gol...
