Re: World of Whiskey

Tried the private selection at The Duck Inn (for the Chicago cats) of the Russell's Reserve Single Barrel. Man, that stuff is THE TRUTH. Glad there are still some $50 dollar gems like this that can still be found on the shelves... Makes it easier to accept I may not see something like Weller 12 yr i...

Re: World of Whiskey

The Glenlivet 15 is my favorite "commercial" Scotch. It is called the "French Oak" version, and has a completely different flavor profile than the 12 or the 18YO. Similarly, with The MacAllan, their 10, 15 and 17YO appellations are the "Fine Oak" line, and differ from the standard 12 and pricey 18Y...

Re: World of Whiskey

@padelimike Yeah, it's with the full size bottles. If I price out all 3 locally it would run around $210... That's why I'm tempted but haven't really had any of 'em before so it's still a gamble for me.

@bahhmerr Interesting to hear about the Macallan 10... Another one to add to the list!

Re: World of Whiskey

Normally don't stray far from the bourby but I'm looking to increase the Scotch corner of my cabinet... This set is available for $150. Yay/Nay ? Not bad. Id persoally prefer a macallan 12 and 15. Quality > quantity but you cant go wrong. Or macallan 12, any balvenie and perhaps a lagavulin to add ...

Re: Beer - trading & discussion

Anyone else get a super pulpy CitruSinensis? fudge was so chunky it sicked me out. Really like the beer at first but by the end I was pouring it out. The 6 pack I purchased months ago had chunks near the bottom too. Last several oz of each bottle were undrinkable. Must have been some batch variatio...

Didn't have this problem, although most of mine were noticeably cloudy. On that note: the actual flavor of blood orange was what separ...

Lagunitas CitruSinensis furthering its place as my new favorite beer of 2015.... Now that the hops have faded a bit, the blood orange really comes through even more noticeably. It almost reminds me of a radler at this point. Sooo refreshing. Sadly drank my final bottle last night but it was glorious...

Did a darkness vertical last night: http://i1302.photobucket.com/albums/ag123/rhythm_gtr5/20150620_181249_zpshejcmxqm.jpg All were pretty different and all tasted great (4.5 / 5). 2014 was difficult to compare with the others because it's barrel aged. 2012 was the sweetest of the bunch by far thoug...

Wow. This is a stunning print. Can only imagine the contrast between the vibrancy of the bottom half and the darkness of the top is even more pronounced in person.

Nice hitch, Baker. Wish Horkey would do more stickers - he has so much great imagery that could translate well to the medium... and it would be easy to flood the market so everyone could get a piece!
