Re: Beer - trading & discussion
I've heard both Crime and Punishment are not particularly good. Pepper heat seems to be "a thing" lately (kinda like I'd hope adding coffee is "just a thing"). Anyway, I would cautiously defend tasteful additions of heat, at least as a novelty. I was pleasantly surprised by Founders' Mango Magnifico...

Re: World of Whiskey
not the biggest Peat fan, myself. I definitely prefer highland over lowland. To each, their own. I've had the Laphroig (and prefer it to Lagavulin for it's milder peatyness) Macallan is good/great too. I do like the Quinta Ruban Sherry finshed. The high end model's distortion is measured way down at 20Hz (and it's still pushing a cleaner signal than the budget amp). That supports what...

Re: Audiophile discussion
Sweet looking setup agreed^... I've been eyeballing a Marantz PM8004 (or PM8005)... and this goes back to my original question: *The "budget receiver" that I am using now allegedly has 100 watts per channel and a THD of 0.05% @ 1kHz. (40 Hz~20 kHz) Input sensitivity: 47 kΩ, Phono (MM): 2.5 mV http:...

Re: World of Whiskey
i would LOVE to try the 21 Port wood! Agreed about Doublewood being overly sweet. At the same time, it's hard for me to think of a better "go to" at that price point. Any suggestions?
