Re: I'm Alone There Now, In Our Special Place, Waiting For 1

That's so strange to only order 30 prints for a Grand Opening. This was not just the MULTIPLAYER exhibit but it was G88~Venice's GO as well. 25% of their stock was gone after 1st 3 buyers took two each, and only two because of limit. I would have taken more for sure for Denver & ChiTown. I'm guessi...

Re: I'm Alone There Now, In Our Special Place, Waiting For 1

I like that it's not to dark in person like sanctuary moon or fenway. Perfect size as well. My favorite Danger in a longgggg time! +1 fenway and sanctuary are so dark that you need the perfect storm of lighting conditions, wall placement, and trick glass to allow you to view those prints, and if no...

Re: Tear in Print...What to do?

Thanks! That's mighty kind of you. It's so small, it's nearly impossible to photograph. From the dozens of photos I took, only two blurry ones sort of captured it, and I was right on it. I'm getting my portfolio sleeves in a few days, so I'll try to photograph then when I transfer the print over. M...

Re: PrintDrop.com ...... Need suggestions

Create a software program that snipes print drops similar to an ebay auction snipe. I'm sure there is a way to do it so the program would auto-f5' and add the item to cart the second it comes up. Then you could either charge a membership fee or download fee for the software. Of course I'm kinda tal...

Heck of a lot more middle TN'ers around here than I expected.

Re: Mondotees/Alamo Poster News & Rumors thread

Living in the middle TN area, we have the Belcourt in Nashville http://www.belcourt.org/. They remind me a lot of the alamo on a much smaller scale. They serve booze, and food, and screen all kinds of films, from foreign, cult, art house, and classic flicks. They lean more heavily to the arty side ...

Re: Star Wars Set 10 Moss

I would have to think Mondo keeps a few sets back just in case..... right? :? Probably normally they would, but this one oversold, right? It would be tough for them to cancel orders while still having a few sets held back. Maybe if they had waited to cancel orders until after they were sure all the...

Re: OFFICIAL: New Dan Mccarthy up thread

This new one has some of the additional depth and dimensionality of Dan's autumn themed Elder Days, which I think some people have decided was a reference to The Lord of the Rings. Now he has a winter print based on another famous book. It's a new season-and-novel-themed series from Dan! I'd get the...

Re: Mondotees/Alamo Poster News & Rumors thread

Good analysis of the Stout/Moss prints wonkabars7, you put some thought into it. After looking at the earlier jpg collage of all the older Star Wars prints side by side with the Stout and Moss, I strongly felt the new ones really reflect our current sensibilities and way of life. They're not necessa...

Re: Mondotees/Alamo Poster News & Rumors thread

And I think he hinted at Aliens in the ugo.com article. Where did he hint at that? I would drymounting love to see tyler do an aliens poster (favorite artist doing a poster for my favorite movie???). He is the perfect artist for such a bombastic, action packed movie. Who else would be good for Alie...

Oh man... would love a Stout ST  No kidding...here are some of his recent posts. Star Trek series is not done. We've still got another year to go with lots of designs ready and waiting to be released. Also, really going to focus on the Universal Monster series next year. Get ready for some f...

Re: Mondotees/Alamo Poster News & Rumors thread

I fear the shear size of a matted 24x36. I think 24x36 movie posters would look fine in a standard black frame with no mat. Matted frames can look pretty good...and increase the size a bit, but worth it IMHO http://i992.photobucket.com/albums/af45/rev_desch/BigTroubleInLittleChina.jpg Is that matte...

Re: Mondotees/Alamo Poster News & Rumors thread

I can't believe Justin said this in the ugo.com interview re: the ROTJ poster: I really like that he has Darth Vader without his mask. It’s the REAL Darth Vader, it’s not the CGI Hayden Christensen. I’m glad it’s the real David Prowse guy (emphasis mine). Everybody (or every dork) knows they used a ...
