Re: some cool prints (Raid71)

Feels like a pre-production still and all that silver gives it a retro feel. Like a decal from the side of a SW arcade booth from the 80's. Ah, the artwork on the sides of arcade games in the 80s--such memories! Anyone else remember the Return of the Jedi arcade game? It was shortlived, and never a...

Am I right if you are talking about the Indian cricket movie Lagaan?
That's the one. A wonderful introduction to both Bollywood and cricket. :)

I know this'll be a minority opinion, but if there's a sports-film show, I would really love to see someone try Lagaan.

Re: Mark Englert?

The funny thing is that the other golden ticket winner will get a print of the "Jar Jar in Poodoo" piece that the first winner chooses. :) I think the best request would be the scene of Luke rescuing his friends on Cloud City--that part where he's peering around the corner at the procession. Have it...

Re: Mark Englert?

DISD23 gives a 20% discount. It's strange--with the original GID I felt like this was one of the nicest SW prints I'd seen. Great concept, nice execution, perfect use of a GID layer. But now, as two separate prints...I don't know, it's like the magic is gone. If I put them on my wall, I know the fir...

Re: some cool prints (Raid71)

Ahh, Bottleneck had a few left after all. Glad I was able to grab one while they were available again. And I'm that much closer to understanding what it means when the page says "Sold Out - Only 5 left!!"... With this and the Dark Ink releases (missed the Englert  , picked up the Anderson), it ...

Re: some cool prints (Raid71)

Wow! How did I only hear about this ESB print 12 hours after it sold out? :) Congrats to Raid71 on the excellent print and the quick sell-out. I'd love a copy of it, if anyone could help me out.

Re: Mark Englert?

Star Wars is one of the focuses of my collecting, and this print is one of the best I've seen recently. (makes me glad I passed on the Manev set earlier this year...)

Unfortunately, I won't be at the computer for the drop time. Can anyone help with a PB, just in case? Thanks!

Re: Nosferatu 14 Phantom City Creative

I'm tempted by this one, too. There are quite a few Nosferatu prints (compared to other classic silents, anyway), and this is one of the nicest. My other favorites are: Dan Mumford (a bit washed-out); Robert Wilson's GID print (great, in a comic-book way); and Rodolfo Reyes. This one is an interesti...

Re: The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari 14 Tong

What's the difference between the regular and variant? I can't tell from the pictures. And--will these be available online? (and, if so, can someone help me pick one up?) It seems to me like Caligari is a deserving classic that for some reason doesn't get very much attention in new artwork. Glad to ...
