PJ Harvey Nottingham

Just taking the opportunity to concur with those who love this.

It's the poster that brought me into gigposters

Beautiful, compelling, definitely my favorite Emek.

Perhaps only Mei 2006 is as beautiful

Today I got the Band Edition. A terrific print and value

To me, however, the Artist Edition's use of glitter blue ink is a complete knockout.

Recommendation: try them both

Thanks, Coldsore.

I look forward to a longer response.

I find it interesting that you see them strongly rooted in Mucha. In what ways?

Also, I thought Malleus was a group of 3 men. Am I wrong about that?

I couldn't agree more with the recent comments of Coldsore and turnj. Malleus prints in person show incredible range and fabulous printing, and they are often utterly amazing. I do wonder, however, about some of their more violent imagery re: women. Can any of you other Malleus fans comment on this ...

La Dame aux Camelias

This poster was made in 1896 by Alphonse Mucha for the great actress Sarah Bernhardt's signature play. The play was later the basis for Verdi's opera "La Traviata". Mucha did a series of posters for Sarah Bernhardt that made him famous, and are amongst the most beautiful posters ever produced. This ...

I agree with coldsore on this one. A good but not great Malleus. Certainly worth having, but far from their best.

Emek bone guitar

Hi

I received one of the bone guitar handbills from Emek, but am having trouble identifying which it is from the eb pictures. It appears to be either the bone, silver or gold

Can anyone help me with how to clarify which it is?

thanks

I'm just real surprised this poster hasn't received more attention. In person it is quite extraordinary.

save freedom of speech

I think it's great that some of the older poster classics have been added to ebeans. This is one of a set of Four Freedoms Rockwell did. It also comes in a smaller size than the one listed here. The Freedom of Speech pictures a Vermont town hall meeting, and is an American poster classic. It is appa...

Roaming 07 McCarthy

It is interesting and surprising to me to find that many collectors do not like large gigposters. I guess that is due to the cost of framing? Belle Epoque Art Nouveau posters, which were done by stone lithography were much much bigger than anything made by silkscreen. Many of Alphonse Mucha's pieces...

I love big posters and big snow-covered mountains. Love at first sight
