Re: James Jean News and Releases

Need a little help from my fellow JJ collectors. I’m looking to buy a JJ Seasons print and I keep getting multiple measurements for the size of the piece. It’s listed as 24 x 40 for the size of the paper on EB and on many websites. However, I have two collectors friends who have the piece and have ...

Re: James Jean News and Releases

Don’t know about this one, haven’t seen the movie yet. I like the print but if the movie sucks it’s going to ruin it for me. Still thankful I didn’t pick up Mother cause that movie was straight up wacky.

+1 on the regular and free pin, I’m just so GD glad they left out kingdom of the crystal skull so missing out on the variant doesn’t hurt as much. Although, I think the colors will pop more on the reg.

That shipping was lightning quick. Still waiting for notification of the 2 tubes I scored.
Anyone else get their mystery tube? I haven’t heard a peep since I put my order in.

The artist is Matt Taylor for this release.
No doubt, I was commenting back on a post where some folks mentioned it looked more like a Gabz inspired design.

GMA Black Friday Mystery Tube sale is tomorrow at 1PM EST, for all the details: greymatterart.com/pages/mystery-tube-sale Thanks for having a crappy site that doesn’t fend off bots. It sold out 2 seconds after it went up. Try giving it another shot. I think they just hadn't updated the stock yet......

Does it matter, you'll never get it at the drop and you'll have to sell your first born to afford one on the secondary market.

Re: James Jean News and Releases

Screen print vs giclee I think that was the issue with the Akira piece, it almost looks spraypainted on vs how deep and rich the normal JJ time released giclee inks look. Once you get one in person you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. The JJ Akira is a bit blotchy and almost pixelated in appe...

Re: James Jean News and Releases

It does look awesome, but I've learned my lesson when it comes to JJ's commision pieces. Having seen the disparity in print quality between my JJ Akira and his normal time released pieces I don't think I would risk $500 + dollars on this new bladerunner. That's not to say that JJ's Akira isn't a ver...

+1 on yoda. Liked the empire print but to many artists have covered that movie.
