Just got done with this framing project. This is my family portrait created by artist Mike Stilkey. Overall dimensions: 37H x 31W. Sorry for the horrible pics.

I completed this project a few days ago... This might not be his best piece of art, but to me is his most important piece and is my favorite... I just got done with this project (She deserved to be framed)... I elected on giving her a slight weighted bottom (2" top and 3" bottom)... Got inspiration by Ashton (Thanks James) on the mating... Solid black inner mat (1/8") with a bright white outer mat... I am very pleased with the outcome. http...

Over the past few years, I have been gathering framing equipment in hopes of one day being able to frame my own stuff. After doing a couple of small jobs for friends (get the kinks out), I finally framed a print for myself. This one is going in my newborn's room. Definitely room for improvement, but...

The style reminds me of Ralph Steadman. Really nice in person. I can see that with the leaves / red splatters and it does have an overall kind of gestural style.
