Re: Are You a Prepper Too?

Filled out my first aid/med kit today. Trauma pads, antiseptic rinses, sterile suture kits, bandages, saline, hemostats, and QuikClot. This is the only stuff I have that might actually go unused. Hopefully.

Generally curious about this. Are they any links or relation to being left/right swaying and being way into prepping?
I've seen both, but consistently pro-gun. Mostly right-wingers I guess.

Re: Im moving my collection. Can anyone offer some moving tips?

One tip: YOU do it. Last time we moved I took all my art and electronics myself. No movers, no family, not even my wife moved anything from the collection. Took several trips, but I knew it was getting done right.

Re: Are You a Prepper Too?

Good Ideas for “Prep Tax” Being prepared is not expensive; in fact it is both practical and wise to have some extra supplies around the house, particularly those that do not spoil and that you know you will still use eventually anyway. A good rule is add one or two extra items to your cart every tim...

I prefer a filtering method for water. Edit - If there were nukes fired, we're doomed. You don't want to live longer just to die a horrible death. Nukes fly, there won't be just one. There will also be malfunctions. They may not land were intended, any number of things can go wrong. There are nukes...

"Hook" is the same way. God damn what a difficult watch, but loved it as a kid.

Re: Are You a Prepper Too?

A few of us were having this conversation the other day. What those of us who do this are preparing for is a matter of degree. On the low end of the spectrum is a power outage that lasts for three days and that’s it. On the high end is full-on nuclear winter, asteroid strike, and general world-endin...

Re: Are You a Prepper Too?

I knew it! We got some preppers in this bitch. We are in a suburb of New Orleans with easy access to multiple routes away from the city. My problem is that I work uptown right in the middle of everything. My primary goal if SHTF while I am at work will be to get my ass home (or to my son's school if...

Re: Are You a Prepper Too?

I try to plan contingency plans in case something like all communications go down, or similar possibilities, where at least our immediate family knows what to do or where to meet but I'm always met with laughter. If you want good info to have with you as a prepper I highly suggest the ACE Pocket Re...

Are You a Prepper Too?

There’s definitely a stigma to being a “prepper” similar to that of being a “flat-earther” (not that they are the same), but I suspect there are a few of you in the same cautiously paranoid boat as me. A few weeks ago a buddy got me a book on survival which I read, and since then I’ve become a part-...

Re: VR Gaming

Beat Saber Imagine Dragons song pack is kinda drymounting awesome. I was pretty bummed at the choice of artist, but they did a great job on the charts and new level designs. As for more full-length games - Blood and Truth is a strong contender for keystone of the PSVR. An absolute blast, and hopeful...

Does anyone have the expensive deluxe version of Sgt Pepper's with the high res bluray? It's as cheap as it's been at Amazon right now, which is still drymounting expensive, and I'm debating whether to bite the bullet.
Buddy of mine picked it up and ripped it for me. Impressive.

Re: VR Gaming

Played "Trover Saves the Universe" last night for 3 hours. Wow - super fun. It's a lot like Astrobot Rescue Mission (which is AMAZING, btw) but it was written by Juston Roiland of Rick & Morty fame. Absolute blast. Highly recommended!
