Re: the official TV discussion thread

I'm still behind but finally watched season 2 of legion this week and damn if this isn't one of the best shows on TV. Really hoping season 3 can keep the quality up.

I'll get around to the boys eventually but much like preacher I'm expecting a watered down experience after reading the comic.

Re: Best/Worst Movies of 2019

I would disagree and for me personally put Once upon a time at the very bottom of the Tarantino list (caveat, I have still not seen death proof). Excellent acting and like you said, a love letter to the hollywood of yesteryear but that didn't make for a compelling watch in my mind. Not a truly awful...

Going to see Low in September which I'm looking forward to. Somehow never seen them before even though I've listened to them for ages.

Re: String Lakes Rag - Aaron Horkey Retrospective Sunday, September 22nd, 2019 Windom MN

I'm in. Is this something we think is going to have lines? I think we're driving in on Sun. Hard to say. There weren't really lines for midwestern heart. I don't expect there will be much if anything for sale other than a show print and would imagine there will be enough of those to at least cover ...

Glad to finally see the official announcement! It's been in the cottonwood county events calendar for a while now but I didn't want to post and spoil the reveal. :) Hope to see a bunch of you there!

Re: The Ebay Advice Column

OK I know it's a bad idea, but am I really at much risk of shipping to a non-confirmed paypal address if I ship using signature confirmation? I wouldn't normally consider it but the address they want me to ship to is in the same city as the confirmed address and seems likely they've just moved.

Re: Horkey Club! THC2018:To be a madman in a world of sad gh

Those are the only 4 THC prints (so far) but I don't remember specifically what year PTT was for. Your assumptions about tallow and hoarfrost are correct. The only others that come to mind are the original 2 small gocco art prints and the decemberists handbill. Then there's some things that I don't ...

Re: Netflix Streaming Finds.

Anyone watched the extended hateful eight yet? It's one of my more favorite tarantino movies but I just watched it fairly recently and not sure whether the additional footage will add enough that I want to watch it again right now.

Re: Game of Thrones

I won't say that was quite unwatchable on my tv but it certainly was unenjoyable. Any emotional impact was far overshadowed by me just trying to figure out what the hell was going on most of the time.

Without mfaith around to hype them... I think the flippers have finally wised up combined with a band most people haven't heard of and some people being turned off by spiders this one was never going to have Mass appeal. Too bad because I think this is his best color scheme on a print in ages.

Re: EB Death Pool

Damn I just saw Dick Dale passed away. I saw him multiple times and he always put on a hell of a show. Most people know him from the song Miserlou which was featured in Pulp Fiction but I daresay rock and roll probably wouldn't have evolved the way it did without his contributions to electronic ampl...

Re: Best/Worst Movies of 2019

Just hoping I finally get to see The man who killed Don Quixote this year.

And thrilled that a local art house theater is doing a director's series on David Lynch showing all his movies on the big screen.
