Re: THE VACVVM: Official Discussion Thread

I really love that remarque. And on an image I really dig, too! Too bad I won't be at MondoCon.

No idea. The drawing for it is the only Horkey work not for sale at the show though. Maybe that means he intends to do something more with it down the line? Or maybe he promised it to someone else or just wants to keep it. Who knows.

Re: Horkey/Dead Arts Rumors and News

Pretty much my reaction as well, haha. I like them all...very surreal work these days. Love it or hate it, it's hard to argue these aren't extremely original. I really like the look of "The Snare." Insane detail in both the drawing and painting, but the painting is almost uncanny with how "frozen" i...

Re: Horkey/Dead Arts Rumors and News

New Horkey image was just shared by Thinkspace. In a word: WOW. I like it better than The Rotting Time. I'll edit this comment with the picture if someone doesn't ninja me. EDIT: Hopefully this works: EDIT 2: Just found the full preview link (d'oh). Don't have time to link all the pics (nvm, I lied ...

Re: THE VACVVM: Official Discussion Thread

I think it's because the individual was lucky enough to receive one of the randomly inserted originals and, while others would cherish it, this person is cashing in. I guess I just don't see it as cashing in? If I were in his place, I'd probably do the same thing. If he doesn't like it, he might as...

Re: THE VACVVM: Official Discussion Thread

252085571834 This makes me incredibly sad. Why's that? I dislike flipping as much as anyone else, but shouldn't he be entitled to sell something he doesn't want or like? It's not like he purchased the piece on purpose, nor did he ask for it to be included in his portfolio. I wouldn't even call this...

Re: Horkey/Dead Arts Rumors and News

I know I'll be going against the grain, but I don't like it at all. Aaron's paintings seem to be less liked than his screenprints, actually. So I'm sure you won't be alone. It's certainly not within punching distance of any of my favorite Horkey pieces, but I do find it quite unique looking and it'...

Re: Horkey/Dead Arts Rumors and News

Horkey's style is really well-suited to dark subject matter. I think his spin on Se7en would be incredible.

Re: Horkey/Dead Arts Rumors and News

Think space let me know at this time the only screen print Aaron has for guilded age is the show print. I most likely won't be purchasing either version so if any one wants me to help hit me up. To be clear, that's the poster with the show details and artist names (full images found on page 1596 of...
