Re: Calvin & Hobbes: The Downhill 16 Thomas

Looks great actually. The type of paper gives the grass a more realistic feel than a flat single color. Looks fantastic in person. Plus my flash was pointed at the print directly so it seems more pronounced than it actually is.

Were you in the commission? If you were then you would know that that was what we wanted and asked him to do. Dope!

Re: Calvin & Hobbes: The Downhill 16 Thomas

I'm still waiting on this magical traced image you guys are talking about:). Calvin and Hobbes are not exactly hard to draw so this tracing thing is laughable at best. Even Snoopy is fairly easy to draw and the artist gives lessons on how to draw him. The amount of hypocrisy about these prints combi...

Re: Calvin & Hobbes: The Downhill 16 Thomas

I'm kinda disappointed in you eb. Usually you're on top of this but I have yet to see proof this is a direct trace job. Where's the gif overlayed on top of original source? Prometheus anyone? Have any of you even looked at Steve's portfolio of work? You don't see the influence? Do you even realize ...

Re: Calvin & Hobbes: The Downhill 16 Thomas

I was being sarcastic. I think it was a dick move to call the artist's employer. I'd love to + 1 if I could. Yeap. Considering the same individual I am sure flips prints for cash and hypocritically has been in their own unlicensed commissions before:P More likely they just saw the print and were so...

Enjoying the EB bitches, whiners, and moaners not in the commission, complaining:) Will enjoy hanging these prints on the wall knowing that many butt hurt individuals are obsessed over it:)

Re: Calvin & Hobbes: The Downhill 16 Thomas

Big sigh. I don't know which is more disturbing, the fact that an artist was commissioned to steal from another artist, or the fact that so many art collectors think it is acceptable. And for the record, my collection has been public for several months, and I'm certainly not jealous or hypocritical...
