Have been looking on Craigslist for a flat file but am a little surprised at the cost. It will happen eventually. What do most people use to separate the prints in a flat file?

Is my art safe stored like this?

I can't remember where I got this information but I've been storing my art prints and gig posters in a clam shell made out of two pieces of acid free foam core. I then separated them with glassine paper. Good to go or should I do something else?

Good lighting for a darker print?

I'm looking to hang a Daniel Danger triptych and the prints are rather dark. I absolutely love the set but feel like lighting might be critical to really bring out the best of it. I don't have an overhead light in the display room and can't do track lighting or can lights just yet. So I'm working wi...

Re: Netflix Streaming Finds.

It has 2 and a half stars on Netflix but I really enjoyed Scenic Route. Unique for sure and I think it would make an awesome play.

Man, Future Islands is one of the best bands I've heard in a long time. Sam has such a unique stage presence and the way he connects with a crowd is one of a kind.

Re: Framed Stuff Part 10

Here's a Paul Simon that I had done. Crappy cell phone pics and it had gathered quite of bit of dust. Always a good reminder to clean a piece when you take photos. The poster is from the Showbox in Seattle when Paul Simon did a night club tour in 2011. Mike Klay is the artist.

Re: McGraw's Flat File Flip

Man that's some nice work. I've been looking for a flat file in Seattle on Craigslist and other places and it seems like they are all $500. Did you need to prime the metal before painting? What kind of paint did you use?

I'm not sure if he works with clients out-of-state, but his prices are very competitive for the level of quality and creativity you receive. I understand this is vague but I would recommend just sending an email and having him answer your questions directly. Framing Devil is a great guy to deal wit...

Re: Framing Devil Los Angeles

So yeah... how much more does it cost to have the Devil work compared to a more run of the mill frame shop? I realize all the frames and materials add up but I would imagine they charge for the creativity aspect? I'm also out of state so there would obviously be a shipping charge. Do people send the...

That makes sense. Do you know what the original medium was? Thanks.

Here's my Chuck Sperry poster that he did for Frank Ocean in San Francisco (2012). I also have that Nick Cave with the cop car that I'm going to give the full treatment.

Love these prints. It seems as if some of them are different from the others although I've only seen pictures. Some pictures it seems the ghosts are more pronounced. Is that the case? Different variants?
