Re: Game of Thrones

I just meant a warhammer is essentially a carpentry hammer on an axe handle. Not even the Mountain that rides could swing that anvil on a stick effectively.

Re: Game of Thrones

The more I see it, Gendry's warhammer gets dumber and dumber. I'm talking show sand snake level dumb.

Re: Game of Thrones

Shame Lady, Elaria, and the one Sandsnake that Euron didn't kill (bad pussy maybe) were tortured to death underneath the Red Keep. Only speculative outcome being that Qyburn turned them into Mountain like monsters. What if the Mountain is the eventual hero because Night King can't mess with him bein...

Re: Game of Thrones

Said it on page 344. Knight King bypassing Winterfell and attacking Kings Landing makes a lot of sense. Add one million to his army, as well as the shadow of a dragon flying over the city is the only part of Bran's first vision we have yet to see. That and Dany's vision of a destroyed throne room.

Re: Latest LP Pre Order?

They finally repressed The Hold Steady's Almost Killed Me, so I for sure ordered one. Blue wax too.

Re: Game of Thrones

Final surprise was given away in the first season. The entire world is located inside the eye of a giant turtle.

Re: Game of Thrones

I don't get the problem for Daenerys with Jon being Targaryen. They're together, so who cares? Their being related isn't a problem, she was going to marry her brother when the show started. If anything it solves the awkward conversation of why she would have wanted their son to be named Targaryen ev...

Re: Game of Thrones

^^ That's what I was thinking. Most of the bodies down there are nothing but bones. Not sure if the Knight King can turn a pile of bones into a fighting skeleton or not. We've seen skeleton wights before, but they probably started out as bodies and decomposed over time. Starks may even beetle bodies...

Re: Game of Thrones

I can't imagine how the two end the same. Books have 4x the moving parts. Stannis is still alive, has an army, and isn't a moron. Doran is still alive, has a fresh army, and isn't a moron. Euron is actually doing Ironborn fudge, and not wasting his time playing taxicab. And let's not forget he who t...

Re: Game of Thrones

Less he'll die before he finishes, more he's written himself into a corner. He created a gigantic world with so many moving parts that he doesn't know how to tie them all together. That plus he's 100x richer/more famous now than when he began writing them. Feels like he doesn't even care anymore. I'...

Re: Game of Thrones

Also, "In George R.R. Martin’s books, it’s long been established that people with VALYRIAN, blood have an easier time, at minimum, with handling dragons." Prob carries over to the show logic despite what Benioff said. Fixed that, but even a person or two with no Valyrian blood has accomplished it.

Re: Game of Thrones

"American screenwriter David Benioff recently pointed out only Targaryens can ride dragons when he spoke in the Inside The Episode documentary segment. I put zero stock in those after episode jawns as they have contradicted themselves in them before. The Dance of Dragons is canon in the show, and n...

Re: Game of Thrones

Arya tells Jon that Sansa is the smartest person she knows. Other than bringing the Knights of the Vale to the Battle of the Bastards I'm having trouble thinking of other well thought out moves. Plus, if I remember correctly she only brought it up to Jon the one time hours before the battle. Is my S...

Re: Game of Thrones

Dragon riding is not exclusive to Targaryens. They just ride them the most because they have them.

Re: Game of Thrones

That crossed my mind too, but I didn't see anything that indicated the ability to fire the blade. Took it as more of a two part sketch. The blade, and the hilt.
