Re: The Official Horror Movie Thread

Anybody else watching Stranger Things on Netflix? We're 3 episodes in and really enjoying it. Awesome 80's kid adventure & horror throwback with a killer score/soundtrack.

Edit: Just saw the thread for it. Nevermind.

Re: The Official Horror Movie Thread

I also enjoyed Lords of Salem. Visually stunning even if the story was lackluster.

Re: The Official Horror Movie Thread

We watched Hush last night. Really enjoyed it. I really felt a sense of fear and dread. Who knew almost no dialogue (something like 15 min.) would make such a positive impact. Definitely worth a watch.

Re: The Official Horror Movie Thread

We started watching Slasher last night on Netflix. A TV series that aired in Canada in March and produced by Chiller. It's essentially American Horror Story in Canada with heavy Scream and Halloween influences. Only 2 eps in, but enjoying it. Try to look past the lead actress occasionally slipping i...

Re: The Official Horror Movie Thread

I still need to see The VVitch. My girl can handle a lot of horror, but she didn't want to go see that in the theater. I'm happy to hear so many positive reviews.

I haven't watched too much horror lately. But I have re-started American Horror Story S1 while working.

Re: The Official Horror Movie Thread

I watched The Last House on Cemetery Lane the other day. Some decent acting, but what a snoozefest. Almost nothing interesting happens for 3/4 of the movie and when it does, it's pointless and you don't care anymore. And the ending ... WTF. I read some reviews after watching and apparently they paid...

Re: The Walking Dead on AMC

My girlfriend made a really good observation. Since they're showing the person getting Lucille'd in the first person perspective, it's likely one of the 4 who were in the Savior's van. They kept showing their first person perspective leading up to Rick's capture and them getting let out. So, by that...

Re: The Walking Dead on AMC

On Talking Dead Scott Gimple said that they knew fans would dissect the scene and filmed it to be impressionistic. It's meant to be vague and not give anything away. The actors don't even know who it is yet.

Re: The Official Horror Movie Thread

I watched Hellions last night while doing some sculpting. Some cool Halloween themes and the kids were pretty creepy. But otherwise I thought it was pretty mediocre. To be fair, I was only half paying attention but it was a little confusing why everything was happening.

Re: LEGO - The thread.

I had a pretty big weekend as far as LEGO is concerned. Thursday, my Ghostbusters HQ arrived. Friday, I found a sealed UCS Sandcrawler at Goodwill for $199.99 Saturday, trip to the Mall of America with the kids and of course the Lego Store. My son got the Minecraft End Portal and I picked up the Lin...

Re: The Official Horror Movie Thread

I've bought a ton of VHS lately and started watching some last night.

Disney's Halloween Treat - 3/5
Monster Dog - 3/5
Blood Cult - 4/5 - I thought this was very well done for an early SOV horror film. Decent acting too.

More on tap for tonight including The Ripper and possibly Toolbox Murders.

Re: LEGO - The thread.

All the Olaf's I found are sold. I can check again this week to see if they put more out.

And, since it's double points season I bought myself a birthday present in the Ghostbusters HQ yesterday. Really looking forward to that build!

I was able to grab 6 of the Olaf sets at Target. Message me if you need any.
