If it's MDF then that's your answer. MDF is highly acidic.

Was this in a wooden frame? My guess is the wood used to make the frame was treated with something (non-archival) and the outer edges of the paper were in contact with the frame.

If they are framed with glass I would advise switching the glass out with acrylic. It will make the frames a lot lighter and easier to transport. It will also reduce the risk of damaging the art. For the first time in a long time I was excited about a Brainwash release. My 10 year old son is a soccer fanatic and loves Pelé so when I saw the e-mail I thought I would go for one of these prints to perhaps hang in his room. Then I saw the prices and have no interest in purchasing.

It didn't stay on the rug for long. It's final spot is in the corner of my studio.
