Re: There Will Be Blood 13 Horkey Release Discussion 05/14/1

I agree its likely the prices will drop, but something seems different with this print to me. People are offering up insane trades that arent being snatched up. Leads me to believe the people who scored might not get in that desperation mode anytime soon and start undercutting and also that those I...

Re: There Will Be Blood 13 Horkey Release Discussion 05/14/1

I imagine that P&T will be pricing theirs "in the vicinity" of the secondary market prices at the time of the drop. Will be pricey, for sure. Maybe not eBay ridiculous, but crazy nonetheless. Not that I'd blame Mitch one bit...

Re: There Will be Blood 13 Horkey

Think this could be my first post on EB. Not sure. Either way i felt compelled to join in this conversation... I spend farrrrrr to much money on movie posters. Just saying... I would go so far as to say i have a problem. But drymount ME PINK if this Aaron Horkey There Will Be Blood poster is not on...

Re: There Will be Blood 13 Horkey

I picked my regular up this afternoon. The detail is amazing and the seal has a great shine to it. I saw the variant and I really like the green. The paper these are printed on is a nice touch too. Just wondering: were you only permitted to purchase a single TMBB poster today at the shop? That's to...

Maybe that's how they have them?
But even if the poster was available in person in Austin, wouldn't Mondo have limited purchases to ONE of the two posters per person, just as they did online? I would hope so.

Re: There Will Be Blood 13 Horkey

dammit variant or regular?! the more i stare at the variant the more i like it, but it cost 50% more and if i get shut out more than likely i won't have a chance for the regular. hey heathunter, look like u sold 5 of them on the bay http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=&item=261216985322&pt=Art_Pos...

Re: The Third Man 13 La Boca

+1

And, after all of that, I chose the regular. I'm sure the variant is spectacular, but too much $. And once I saw a photo of the actual regular edition (more faded pink than deep magenta), I was sold. Has a very cool old-school vibe.

Re: The Third Man 13 La Boca

Can somebody please confirm what time this drops (EST). I hate time change calculations, so I'd like to be sure. Should be 1pm EST. The UK is 4 hours ahead of EST. We're on Daylight Savings Time right now. Maybe DCG could weigh in here about when the drop will be EDT? When we're not on DST, they ar...

Re: The Third Man 13 La Boca

Interesting. Comparing the jpg of the regular edition (found on DCG's website) with a photo of the actual poster, it looks like the pinkish magenta color is noticeably less saturated in real life. Much closer to pink than magenta. Of course, your monitor's mileage may vary. Thought you'd all like to...

Re: The Third Man 13 La Boca

LOVE THIS POSTER! The variant in particular, with its metallic inks, is ridiculous. And, as is so often the case with posters that are not Mondo-commissioned, studio-licensed creations, this will get very little love. At least from the speculating crowd. Fine with me. Thank you for your comment and...

Re: London Tunnel 13 Hecox

Another ridiculously fabulous print from Evan Hecox and Sonnenzimmer. If there were any justice in the world, all of their recent work together would have sold out in a MondoMinute® (and yes, I trademarked that term) :notworthy:

Re: Laurent Durieux - Appreciation & Discussion

DHM and emovieposter have recently confirmed my request to get both the Metropolis variant metal and the regular metal with matching numbers. Contacted them both and they agreed to co-ordinate on the numbering. :pint: :notworthy: Congrats to the biggest Metropolis fan ever! Way to go Rubberneck! Me...
