Re: Nosferatu 14 Phantom City Creative
It's official title is: Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens (or Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror). 1922, DIrected by F.W. Murnau, one of the greatest film directors of all time. I think Nosferatu is one of the creepiest, most wonderfully terrorizing films ever made. It's use of stop motion makes my...

Re: Flat File Corner - Tips, Questions, Answers, Etc.
My addiction hasn't gotten to the point of needing a flat file. Is it ok to keep my prints between two foam boards and what would be the proper way to do so? The inked sides facing away from or towards each other and how many can I place between each set of foam boards? You can use a foam board san...

Sorry, but Ansin much?
And yet, despite its obvious debt owed to the mad Uruguayan, I prefer Tong's take to Durieux's. Quite crafty...

Re: The Jungle Book 14 Holt
Whoa, this is jaw-droppingly fantastic! At first glance it's a throw-back, conjuring up all sorts of old-time Kipling-esque memories. And yet the poster somehow manages to feel appropriate to the book, the Sabu film and the Disney release - all at the same time! :notworthy: The detail photos that I'...

Re: The Jungle Book 14 Moss
Fantastic piece...the text at the bottom fits with the movie...and its very small. Not sure what all the fuss is about. Its his best piece since Star Wars IMO Totally fits the movie. Just not the movie as seen in Olly's poster. And that's what good design is all about: it's about a consistency of p...

Re: The Jungle Book 14 Moss
Quite superior to the originals IMO: http://www.posternirvana.com/0DNE2/2014-03/Jungle.jpg I agree. Except that "THE JUNGLE IS JUMPIN'" is channeling the fun "Louis Prima, Orangutans Dancing" vibe seen in the vintage posters (it's actually at the top of the bottom left poster), whereas Olly's poste...

Re: The Jungle Book 14 Moss
Love this, except "THE JUNGLE IS JUMPIN'". Unnecessary. Compositionally and attitudinally, I don't think it works with what is otherwise a stunningly elegant poster.
Oh well. I still want it!

Re: Vertigo 14 Durieux
Strange. I own Durieux's Bigfoot (regular), The Mummy and Things to Come and I haven't noticed any printing issues. But based on the comments I've read on EB -- such as the troubling one by dylansdad -- these issues unfortunately seem all too common in his prints. The only thing I can think of that ...

Re: So Hood 14 Bask Release Discussion 02/16/14
Nice. Really nice. And while I have a general rule not to purchase giclées of already-existing paintings, the HPMs of this look very cool. But those are long gone by now. How much did they go for?

Re: Vertigo 14 Durieux Release Discussion 02/07/14
What a fudge show. Purchased a gift card, got Vertigo (reg) carted, got to payment details and there was no place to enter my GC number. Somehow my account had not been updated to reflect the GC purchase. What do you think the chances are that Mondo refunds me the $100 I just gave them to work on t...

Whoa! What a poster. Of the three previewed today (Vertigo reg. & variant, Rear Window reg. & variant and The Birds), this just might be the best overall.
Spectacular!

Re: Vertigo 14 Durieux
These are both great! Love the Variant colors as they relate to the movie. Actually, both red and green are closely connected thematically to Vertigo. In fact, they're the dominant colors of the film. For me, both versions of Durieux's poster are amazing. The red obviously pops more and looks more ...

Love this. Fantastic collaboration. Might actually prefer the regular edition, although I'll be watching as the variants drop to see what the guys have in store.

Re: Changes 13 Oliveira
Love this, but not the giclée part. Then again, if this were screen printed (which I wish it had been), it probably would've cost $1000. But I wonder, given, say, Kevin Tong's mastery of the process and the additive potential of a relative few colors to create many more (see his phenomenal "These Mo...
