Re: Frankenstein 11 Struzan / Taylor

15 x 36?!? That means it's not a true Insert (14 x 36), which = custom frame job. Jeez.

Re: Jurassic Park 11 Horkey Release Discussion 08/31/11

Hmm... The motion in the T-Rex's rail is awesome (not to mention beautiful), but I agree with others who think that the head is too cartoony. To me it just doesn't fit with the rest of what is an aggressively tense, sinewy image. Oh well, what the hell do I know? The variant definitely distills thin...

Out with the family and... DROP! Completely gutted. This was going to be a gift for the kids, who are complete Pixar freaks. If anyone here has an extra they decide to unload, I hope you'll think of me.

+1. What a gorgeously elegantly creepy poster! By the way: ever notice how Jaws simply refuses to age? Just as amazing today as it was back in 1975. That's 36 years ago, folks.

Oh. My. God.

Simply amazing. And an insert on top of it all?!? I just love the dimensions of inserts (14x36) and this poster, along with its Taylor-rendered credit block, is to me a virtually perfect utilization of the insert form. Wow. Can't wait.

Re: A Perfect Vacuum 11 Geddes

Giclee or screenprint, I couldn't careless. Either way, you'd be purchasing a reproduction of Jeremy's original painting. If Jeremy decides that a giclee print is the best way for his art to be reproduced and represented, then that's what I want. No doubt in my mind, giclée was the best way to repr...

Re: A Perfect Vacuum 11 Geddes

Agree with Meindert above. I think his is the most sophisticated articulation yet of the differences between the two processes. A Perfect Vacuum is a reproduction - limited though it may be - of an absolutely fabulously beautiful and accomplished painting. That's right, a PAINTING. The giclée versio...

Re: ISO 24x36 Acid Free Portfolios

FYI: Jerry's Artarama is running a 20% Off Sale right now on purchases $175+. The 24x36 Picturesque Presentation Case is $160, so it doesn't qualify on its own. But add a 5-pk of 24x36 sleeves and the grand total comes to $164, including free shipping to US addresses! Not the best I've seen for this...

Re: ISO 24x36 Acid Free Portfolios

With the promo code now available from ASW Express, the 24x36 Picturesque Presentation Case ends up being $143.94, including shipping. That's less than what you'd pay to the eBay seller. As someone who has one of these cases: run, do not walk, to pick one up. They are well-made, heavy-duty archival ...

Re: ISO 24x36 Acid Free Portfolios

I bought my 24x36 Picturesque Presentation Case from ASW Express, along with a 5-pack of refill sleeves. The sleeves were packed in such a way that they arrived damaged. ASW Express didn't ask me to return them, simply sent out new ones free of charge. Now THAT is what I call customer service. Great...

Re: ISO 24x36 Acid Free Portfolios

Speaking of curating, organizing one's collection... I recently purchased both a 24x36 Picturesque Presentation Case and an 18x24 Itoya Art Profolio Evolution book. While the Itoya is undeniably a great deal (got mine for around $26!), the ring binder system of the Picturesque is fantastic. It allow...

Re: Dracula 11 Horkey/Zouravliov

sometimes you have to flip to collect.. it's like getting rid of the weeds so you can appreciate the flowers.. I'm guessing Catarax was being a bit "flip" when this was written (sorry), but to the uninitiated it should be made clear that Catarax's statement is not an accurate portrayal of flipping....

It's actually spelled Kubrick. Drag.
