Re: Cleaning screen prints

It's The Shining by Laurent Durieux.

If it was in the corner or lower down i wouldn't be so bothered but it is right in the central portion.

Re: Cleaning screen prints

No luck with the microfibre cloth. The way the mark reflects light in a different way to the rest of the print made me think it was an oily smudge but upon closer inspection it now looks as though it's actually a scuff that has removed a thin layer of ink, revealing the less glossy under-layer. Re: Cleaning screen prints

Thanks for the help, think I'll try using a microfibre cloth and see if that works. Definitely not worth paying a lot of money for, just a small blemish that's really bugging me.

Cleaning screen prints

I noticed a small smudge - appears to be a clear liquid like oil from someones finger tips and only visible in the right light. Does anyone have any tips on removing this? The print is otherwise mint so its a shame to just leave this blemish, unless of course cleaning it risks damaging the print. Th...

Re: Pulp Fiction - Ruiz scam?

I'd be interested to know how the Pulp Fiction variant turns out, had my eye on it today and nearly bit were it not for this post.

Re: Mondo Poster News & Rumors

AQP_BC_spine_1024x1024.jpg AQPFC_1024x1024.jpg Definitely intentional, clearly a continuation of the theme touched upon in the LP artwork but I personally would have liked to have seen a bit more of it here. It still works as a decent design though, I like the bravery of featuring just the environm...

Underwhelmed by this. I was hoping for a larger version of his amazing LP artwork, miles better than this.

Anyone know what happened to the Remarque version? I am dying to know what he did with an already super detailed illustration.

Re: Mondo Poster News & Rumors

Just wondering, will there be an online drop for the 'Marvel:The First 10 Years' show Mondo did? Some of the prints look great!

Where and when will that be on sale?

Also on a completely different note, what is up with the login fails unless the 'log me in automatically...' box is ticked?

Re: The Art of Jonathan Burton

That Silence poster should really be up there with Art of The Year. The way he emulated a traditional Japanese wood block print with the muted colours and flat perspective is excellent and the final printing looks incredible. It just serves as a clever way to set up the film as an epic journey and b...

Re: BMFG - The Official Blunt Graffix Thread

I gotta say to all the haters, that even though a lot of the art produced is undoubtedly from existing source material (often literally the same thing), it still takes a level of skill and time to create the separations - not to mention actually screen printing them yourself. I actually quite like t...

Re: Art of Tomer Hanuka

Thanks man, had to wrestle with the idea of such a wide mount and comparatively thin frame but I think it does the job - gives it some much needed room to breathe. I also think the dark trim is essential to box it all off, sort of like a comic book frame but more elegant. My framer did an excellent ...

Re: Art of Tomer Hanuka

Thought I'd share this as I haven't seen many frame-ups of Tomer's stuff. Got this done a few months ago and it was tricky to get the balance right for such a crazy yet elegant print.
