I get it; a rare genetic mutation that creates the yellow pigment in the cardinal's feathers becomes an equally rare print for collectors of Mitchell's Fat Birds. Glad I'm not a completionist, but I guarantee there are at least 30 collectors out there who are.

As I'm sure many know, shipping notifications from Mondo started arriving today. Rory also posted on social media he received his APs, which he is signing and sending out this weekend...

Time to rebuild the hype!!

I simply can't get over how well Kurtz rendered the various lighting sources in this print... the blurred headlights of traffic, the subtle highlights on the wheel and tire, how the light from the street lamp filters over the entire foreground. The composition is on-point, too. A really, really well...

I really like the scene in the film with Pazu's trumpet solo... glad to see its prevalence in the final layout. A very well done piece, overall! Cheers!
