Btw Serigraphs refer to prints that are Fine Art rather than commercial purposes. thats not actually true. Serigraphy took on the status of art in the 1930s when a group of artists experimented with the technique and subsequently began making "fine art" silk-screen prints and devised the term "Seri...

Re: New Jay Ryan

I see it now. I enjoy learning about screen printing techniques. I'd probably have a lot of fun at a class or seminar. Could you guys recommend a good artist who teaches occasionally? I know Jay does. Hey Jay! Getcher butt to Texas and teach me some stuff already. I recommend speaking with Da...

Re: ISO: 11x17 Art Portfolio

Slowly, I'm adding more originals to my collection. There is always plans for framing but I'd still like a good portfolio to keep them in. I have an Itoya Evolution 18x24 which is fine but thinking maybe something with a zipper would be better. Thinking maybe even a 14x17. Thanks for any recommenda...

Re: Transporting framed prints

Are you driving at all or are you having everything moved in a truck? You could get a hold of an art moving company. It costs a very pretty penny to ship work, especially if you have glass in the frame instead of plexi. https://www.saatchiart.com/packaging That's a pretty good link to explain the ba...

Re: Framing Help/Advice Thread

Any ideas on how to frame a print without any borders? As in the artwork extends to the edge of the print - there is no border around the artwork itself. The frame or mat would be block at least an 1/8 inch of art all around the print. Is it acceptable to float something like this? Shadow box frami...

Re: Mondo Poster News & Rumors

Today in the EB Mondo thread: Bad Moms :D Just find it interesting that Ghostbusters gets called out for having a rotten script while Bad Moms gets a pass. Opinions, obviously. Yeah, also find it interesting. Although I heard Ghostbusters was pretty good. Haven't seen it myself though. Any movie, r...
