Re: EB Entry Corrections Part 3

by Vipero96 on Wed Jul 16, 2014 1:42 pm Curious about something. I rec'd my Budich Indiana Jones & Temple of Doom screen print today (bought from reseller) and was just doing my usual cataloguing. I noted that my copy is numbered 166/175. Yet on the EB database, it says the run was only 165. Mistake...

Re: Flat File Corner - Tips, Questions, Answers, Etc.

Let me give you a quick backdrop first. When I talked to Dan (the videos), he told me he shrink wrapped his posters. He used heavy corrugated board, using black tape on all sides such that when he mounted his posters on them, he ended up with this 1/8" border on all sides. He would do one poster on ...

Re: Flat File Corner - Tips, Questions, Answers, Etc.

It's good having a flat file for sure, but the problem is is that you buy a print, it arrives, you look at it and smile and then put it in your drawer and that's it til you put another print in there and go 'wow, didn't realise I had that'. Love this, so true! Wish there was a safe and economical w...

Re: Creature from the Black Lagoon 12 Taylor

Post pics, maybe its just really light pencil. and even if its not, is it really that big of a deal? Thanks for the suggestion, but I really can't see what good posting pics would do. It's highly unlikely that the image from a pic would reveal more detail than my naked eye can see with magnifiers o...

Re: Creature from the Black Lagoon 12 Taylor

I have looked over a few examples on eBay, and see now that most seem to be on the bottom left corner under the little stamp. No doubt about it - mine doesn't have one. Any reason as to how this could be? And should I be thinking about returning it to sender, given that the description said it was n...

Re: Creature from the Black Lagoon 12 Taylor

More of a question. Where is the numbering on this poster? I bought one on eBay, just got around to looking for the number, but can't find one. Is it "hidden" in the print? The description clearly said this piece is numbered. Any of these produced without a number for some reason?

Re: Conan 13 Ansin

Good info, guys. Thanks. So, I'm guessing that typically, the AP piece is generally only more valuable if it is a higher dollar or higher demand item - and that having the signature, all other things being equal, trumps the version (1st Ed vs AP only)...

Re: Conan 13 Ansin

I just won an AP 1st Ed on eBay for this piece. I know the metallics on the variant must be very nice, but I just liked the realism of the colored version, especially the green camo paint like innthe movie itself. Just have a question. In the pricing DB here, the AP has been going for less than the ...

Re: Horkey Jurassic Park

These sort of questions should be asked in the Art Comments thread for future reference - http://forum.expressobeans.com/viewtopic.php?t=73292 To answer your question though and lock this thread - no. There are no visual differences other than the number. I wasn't sure which of the 2 threads to pos...

Horkey Jurassic Park

Is there any major difference in the appearance and/or materials used for the Horkey Jurassic Park 1st Edition versus the Osprey version? Obviously there were fewer Ospreys produced, and it apparently utilizes a different type of paper material. But is there anything visually more impressive about t...

Regular, Variant, A.P.

Again, I'm relatively new to screen print art. Other than the obvious difference in color in most cases, as well as # of prints released for each, what is the difference re: regular & Variant versions? I'm also not familiar with what A.P. means, unless it is Artist's Proof? What makes the Variant & ...
