Re: Importing to the UK - VAT & Delivery info
Just a quick update on my tube, I finally managed to go collect it and had to pay the customs charge. Unfortunately the tube was marked as poster and incurred 20% fee of the total item. :( I have written a letter and supplied evidence using the BOR286 form and sent it to Border Force to see if I ca...

Re: Importing to the UK - VAT & Delivery info
I just got stung £14.22 for a tube that was valued on the customs form at $30 with $26 shipping. I was right on the fcukin limit for value. VAT charge on something that low is a first for me. £6.22 VAT and £8.00 'handling'. I won't argue it, as the contents were actually worth $300, but the princip...

Re: Importing to the UK - VAT & Delivery info
Thanks for the quick response,
I believe I will have to challenge my case as I don't think the print tube will be marked up unfortunately.
The waiting game begins...I will report back with how I get on this week.
Thanks

Re: Importing to the UK - VAT & Delivery info
Morning all, I have a package coming from overseas and its currently awaiting customs clearance in Parcel Force. As regards to Customs Duty/VAT, I bought the print for around $700 and had it insured up to £400 for peace of mind on its journey to me in the UK, its a rare print after all. According to...

I blame Richlee for getting me into collecting Mondo prints.
Currently have 7 frame and one expensive bugger I recently won on an eBay auction. Waiting for that one to land.
Also a newbie here and I know Rich becuase he's my friend
